Prof. Naik did his D.Sc. in Environmental Science from Allahabad University pertaining to Thermal Power Plant and Aluminium Industry oriented work on “Effects of industrial pollutants on life systems” and awarded degree in 1996.

            Prof.Naik t aken several professional training on :-

(i)                 Academic Administration at Centre for Professional Development, Delhi University.

(ii)                Environmental Engineering at UCE, Burla. (Now University)

(iii)              Environmental Technology at Regional Engg. College, Durgapore, W.B.

(iv)              Environmental Biotechnology from Andhra University and Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

Dr. Naik received German Govt. and UNESCO fellowship in 1997 for study and research at “International Institute of Environmental Management”. Received P.G. Diploma in Envn. Management from Dresden University of Technology, Germany and worked on “Environmental Sound technology Application for Developing Countries”. Received United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) fellowship for training on Sitting of Industries, Environmental Engg., Waste Treatment and Management at Ministry of Environment, Prague, Czeck Republic, Institute of Ecological Engg. and Planning, Budiovisik, Slovak Republic and at different industries of Germany.

After returning from abroad, worked as Professor and Head, Dept. of Environmental Sciences, F.M. University, Balasore and became Dean, Faculty of Science & Technology, F.M. University. Prof. Naik was member of Senate, Board of Studies, Conducting Board, Centre Superintendent of many University examinations. He was Chairman of University Sports Council, President of F.M. University Teacher’s Association. Worked as an expert committee member of Dept. of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India. Completed many research projects funded by DOEn, CSIR, ICMR, New Delhi, Govt. of India. Guided several students for doctoral degrees

Prof. Naik attended, presented research papers and chaired technical sessions of many International, National level conferences, Seminars and Workshops. He too organized few National Level Conferences, workshop and training programmes. Visited many countries on academic assignments. He is fellow and member of many International and National level learned societies. He published more than sixty research papers and review articles in International and National Journals of repute.

Recently received National level “Ratna Award” in June 2009 in the field of Education for life time contribution towards “Educational Administration and Management”. The felicitation and award is given at Gokhle Institute, Pune by Council of Economic Growth & Research, New Delhi.

His interest into face new challenges in Educational Administration and institutional building.
