ANNUAL FUNCTION "RAINBOW - 2004"

RAINBOW-2004 the first Annual Day of SCITM, Samanta Chandrasekhar Institute of Technology and Management was celebrated on 14th of April 2004. The Academic Block and the Mechanical Workshop were inaugurated by Padmashree, Shri N. R. Mohanty, Chairman, HAL and Shri S. K. Banarjee CMD, NALCO respectively.

The event was inaugurated by Padmashree, Shri N. R. Mohanty, the Chief Guest of the evening. Shri S. K. Banarjee CMD, NALCO, was the Chief Speaker while Shri K. P. Puri, MD, MIG Complex, Nasik was the Guest of Honours of the evening. Eminent personalities and Engineer of HAL, NALCO and other places attended the function. 

Shri N. R. Mohanty inaugurated the academic block of 48,000 sq. ft. while Shri S. K. Banerjee inaugurated the 10,000 sq. ft. well equipped workshop built by KIRBY India, Hyderabad. The website of the college was launched by Engineer Shri K. P. Puri. The meeting was presided by Chairman, SCITM Shri Krushna Singh.

Speaking on the occasion between Shri K. P. Puri emphasized that proper coordination between the theory and practical aspects is highly essential today. He advised the students on various aspect and the expectation from them as a result of globalization, stiff competition etc..

The chief speaker of the evening Shri S K Banerjee was Highly impressed by the institution, its infrastructure etc. He committed to extend his full support and cooperation for the development of the institution. He praised the Chairman and his group for establishing technical institution in the remote belt.

Shri N. R. Mohanty, the Chief Guest of the evening committed to extend his full support for the development of the institution. He advised the students on various fronts, citing incident from his rich experience.

He was over claimed with the fact that an technical institution as SCITM, excited in the region and that would bring about a significant charge in and around it. HAL has been associated with SCITM since its inception and Shri Mohanty has played a crucial role in it. HAL has already granted Rs. 1.5 Crore for the academic building and Rs. 1 Crore for the equipment of the institution.

The welcome address was given by Chairman Shri Krushna Singh, who expressed his gratitude to everyone who has been associated with SCITM both directly and indirectly. 

           The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. K. Nanabuchi, Registrar SCITM. The meeting was followed by Cultural events performed by the students.
